How to Successfully Adopt Agile in Large-scale Organizations?
Nowadays large companies want to reap the benefits of agile, such as fast reactiveness to change, close customer collaboration and an internally agile organization. Agile methods were originally designed for small projects and organizations making large-scale adoption challenging.

During this talk I will discuss how to successfully transform a large organization into an agile one. I will discuss both challenges and success factors identified in organizations who have already made the transition. I will give several real-life examples from transformations in companies I have collaborated with such as Nokia, Ericsson and F-Secure.

Fifty years from now: the death of developers by suicide
Systems are everywhere, they pervade every and all aspects of people life’s and yet most of society remains ignorant about our “dark magic” ways.

On the other hand, as wizards and sorcerers, we remain relentless in our pursuit for easy and fast ways to code, to create systems, frameworks, architectures, new development languages, new developments processes, artificial intelligence, intelligence… life? What if we are truly successful with this transformation? What happens if we make it possible that even our grandmother can make an app or a system with 2 clicks? What then? What will become of us? Will there still be a need for Agile?

With this debate we want to defy mainstream thinking, pushing forward creativity by challenging the norm and discuss what’s next after agile or beyond agile.

If you need to start a project, you've already failed #noprojects
I want to be controversial for a moment and propose an end to IT projects, project management & project managers. I propose that the entire project process is flawed from the start for one simple reason. If you need to run a project, you've already failed.

No Estimates With No Dogma
#NoEstimates is a controversial topic and discussions on this are often fought with verve, but little progress. I want to take a step back, talk about the reasons why we started to have estimates on projects, how they are used and abused. I want to differentiate between the different purposes that we use estimates for. Discuss the pros and cons for each of the purposes, point our alternatives and discuss where and when to use estimates or better use another approach. All that without being dogmatic!

The goal is to equip you with a better understanding of when to use estimates, and when to use another approach, so that you have the right tool for the right situation.

Mocking to Integrate: How to isolate your app from external services
Dependencies over external services are definitely an issue for integration test's repeatability. We need to assure that our app can communicate effectively with its dependencies and that we are covering the most use cases with our set of tests. When test's actions change the state of the ExS we are consuming we aren't able to predict the next result and therefore automated testing becomes a real pain.
But what if we could create a test environment mocking those annoying web services? And, what if we get to control the state and behaviour of those mocks for each test case?
This talk will cover: the value of integration testing, test strategies and patterns including consumer driven stubs and contract testing, and some useful tools for mocking external services including Stubby4J.

Scaling Without Expanding: a DevOps Story
Ever wondered how Atlassian does devops? This talk takes a dive into the inner workings of the Atlassian Build Engineering team, and how they use the Atlassian stack alongside third party tools like Puppet, Terraform and Datadog to provide a build platform to Atlassian's developers. We'll explore how a former ops team has been able to scale to serve 1.8x the amount of customers by stealing the best practices of agile dev teams and proactive support teams. You'll walk out understanding how you and your team can achieve the same.
